The hand-built nest cradling the golden egg was inspired by the fable The Goose that Lays the Golden Egg and the fairy-tale Jack and the Beanstalk. Both feature an enchanted bird laying golden eggs. Playing on memories of childhood stories and fantasy characters, this piece brings one's imaginations into play and highlights the golden opportunities for us all in life. The large proportions and James' compulsion towards whimsical, make this work an entirely unique creation.
